Monday Makes - Repurposed for a little artist...

Again I am ridiculaously slack at sticking to my own blogging schedule, but I seem to always get there eventually...

This week's MAKE has been lots of fun, in that it has brought much joy to our families budding little artist. I finally finished converting an old Ikea coffee table to a master artists drawing station, complete with retro chairs that her father used when he was a child. She loves it and draws every chance she gets. Daddy is her favourite subject currently. Although her little drawings look nothing like him she names every element of his face as she draws; eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair... so very gorgeous.

This is the table after a coat of white undercoat...

This is the finished product after applying the blackboard paint to match her retro chairs and the final two coats of white gloss acrylic to the table legs. She loves it - which makes it all the more special. Mummy always has to draw a picture of Daddy too.
